Buy Two Tracfones?

I recommend buying two Tracfone phone and card deals at the same time. Then I have a spare phone which gives me a spare phone charger and a spare battery to use. This also solves phone problems because I have a spare phone to use. The best way to buy a Tracfone is always from Tracfone.com when you purchase a phone card and get a free phone. If you buy a Tracfone without a card you will have to buy a minute card also.

Do Tracfone Minutes Roll over?

Yes, as long as you keep your service active your Tracfone service time or Minutes will roll over. If your service expires you must reactivate before 60 days you will get to keep your minutes. This rollover policy is better than almost every other prepaid phone service which do not roll over minutes or service time. If you let your service expire you will lose your Tracfone phone number.

Tracfone Three way Switch Trick

Some people are always having to buy activation time and you are usually in need of minutes you can do the Tracfone three way switch. Lets say you have 20 months service time and no Tracfone Minutes and your dad has 900 minutes and need to add service time.

Purchase another DMFL Tracfone that comes free with a Tracfone Minute Card on it. This will be your switch Tracfone or you could use is as a replacement phone.

Activate the switch Tracfone and add the service time and minutes from your Father’s phone to the switch phone.

Next transfer your network time and Tracfone minutes from your phone to your Dads phone.

Now shift the Tracfone minutes from the switch phone to your phone. Your Dad’s phone now has a long service time and you will have a lot of Tracfone minutes to use.

Both phones must be active for this switch to work.

Tracfone Texting

Free Tracfone Airtime Codes
Tracfone issues a five digit Tracfone bonus code. This code will be effective to give you an extra 20 to 300 mintes when you add a Tracfone Minute Card to your phone. The Minute Card will have a 15 digit number. As you enter the 15 digit code you will be asked if you have a bonus code. Use this link to get Free Tracfone Airtime Codes.
This is the best place to add minutes because you can both find the best airtime codes and add them while you are buying your minutes. I recommend using the site to both buy and add minutes. Sometimes a certain code has already been used on your phone and you may not be able to use it. This page has several current codes for you to try.

Here is a link to a recently updated page with the Best Current Tracfone Deal.

Rick Kemp has been using prepaid cell phones and writing about them since 2004.

Almost everyone has a cell phone these days. Cellular phone are almost a necessity these days–or at least that’s how a lot of people see them. It’s true that many people probably can’t conceive of not being able to call their friends and family or be in touch at anytime during the day.

Mobile phones are also practical–they allow you to contact help in an emergency situation, they allow you to keep in touch with your children and loved ones, and they are also incredibly convenient. But it has been too long that the cell phone service providers have been overcharging their customers. The truth is that a contract based cell phone plan may not be the best option for you.

In these times of a rough economic climate, many more people are turning to prepaid cell phones as a way of cutting their bills and having more control on their communication costs. The beauty about prepaid is that you only pay for the minutes you use. There are no overage fees and on most plans you pay no roaming charges. Often, people will switch their whole families over to a pay as you go plan and cut costs that way.

So how are prepaid phones a good way to save money? The truth is with prepaid you have a lot more control over what you are actually paying for. In a standard contract with a wireless provider, you agree to pay a certain amount of money for a certain amount of minutes month in and month out. Even if you only use half of the minutes you pay for, you still have to pay for the other half.

This is generally not a good deal for many people as an estimated twenty percent of all contract phone users only use 80 percent of their minutes each month. When I was on a contract plan, I was paying for twice the amount of minutes I was using each month.

With a prepaid plan, you do not sign a contract so you do not ever have to pay a termination fee. These fees can be incredibly expensive and range somewhere around two hundred dollars to eliminate your contract. Now why do you think there would be a fee to end your service? There is only one reason–it’s a good way for the large cellular service companies to make money. If you are not happy with your cell service, you should be able to leave and find a new company. It shouldn’t be okay to have to be bound to one company.

With prepaid phones, you never pay a termination fee. Once you let your phone and minutes expire, you can choose to add more minutes or choose to move on.

These days many people are starting to see that taking more control over your cell phone bill by going with prepaid cell phones saves them money. Companies like Leap wireless, which runs Cricket, T-Mobile prepaid, Tracfone, and even Verizon Wireless offer very competitive rates for pay as you go service. Do some research and pick out the best plan that works for you because you do have options.

Many people are having a very hard time just trying to get by. Steady jobs and big paychecks have seemed to disappear. But your bills certainly have not disappeared. There are many ways for people to cut back on the money that goes out as the amount of money that comes in seems to dwindle down.

One of the best ways to cut back on your monthly bills is to sign up for a prepaid cell phone. Prepaid phones are popular for several reasons and for these reasons they have become more and more popular over the past year.

One reason prepaid offers are an attractive option is that in order to purchase one, you do not have to sign a contract. This is a big deal for a lot of people. Since you do not have to sign a contract, there are no termination fees that you have to pay in order to stop using the service of the company. These fees that you often have to pay are really unfair and can be in the hundreds of dollars. This is one big reason many people are going with prepaid cell phone offers.

For prepaid models, you never have to undergo a credit check. There is no contract involved and no necessary monthly payment, so there is no credit involved. Many people do not have the minimum credit necessary to get a phone with some of the larger contract companies. But many of the large wireless providers are offering prepaid options.

Another reason is that you do not have to pay for the same minutes every single month. You pay as you go, which means you only pay for the minutes that you use. There are restrictions, limits, time constraints, and expiration dates on minutes for prepaid phones, but if you find the right plan that works for you, then you will most likely save money.

It is not just companies like Tracfone, Cricket (Leap Wireless), Boost Mobile, and MetroPCS that offer prepaid cell phones. It is companies like Verizon wireless and T-Mobile prepaid. T-Mobile is actually quite well known for its prepaid service, but Verizon is one of the biggest advertisers for contract based monthly plans.

There is a definite shift toward prepaid phones as the consumer becomes more savvy and realizes that there are other options out there. The truth is that many people do not use all of their minutes every month, which means they overpay for their cell phone bills. Prepaid gives you more control over the minutes you use and the minutes you need to pay for each month.

A good rule of thumb is if you use 300 minutes or less, then you may be better off with prepaid. If you are a very heavy cell phone user, you talk to your friends a lot, and like to text, then a contract plan is most likely better. Text messages add up very quickly because you not only have to pay to send a text, you pay when you receive one.

There are hundreds of cell phone plans and offers out there, so what is the criterion you should use when choosing one? There are a lot of factors that go into this, so you should keep a few things in mind. One of the main things you should be concerned with is how much do you use your cell phone.

If you use only 300 minutes a month, then prepaid cell phones might be the best option for you because you are light cell phone user. If you use more like 450, then you may want to stay in a month to month contract cellular phone plan. Also, you need to know that text messages can add up very fast on any type of phone plan, so if you are a big texter, then you are going to want to get some kind of bundle that includes a text package. The same goes for those who surf the internet frequently using their phones. You need to pay for the data usage, so you are going to want a package to cover that.

If you are a light cell phone user and you do not really text that much (remember you have to pay for both texts received and sent) then you may want to go with a prepaid phone option. This is because this type of phone plan is for more frugal users who keep track of their phone usage and typically do not use it as much as others. A prepaid plan is good because you have more control over the actual minutes you end up paying for. You are not stuck into a plan that says you have to purchase 450 minutes each month for such and such price. You can change your mind and buy one amount one month and half the minutes the next month.

Of course, each prepaid wireless provider has different stipulations and rules that you need to know. Minutes can have expiration dates and there may be minimum minutes you have to purchase in any given period of time. You just need to know the rules and be clear on what you have to do in order to stay current with your phone. Overall, prepaid offers some very competitive plans and many people are switching over to it from standard contract wireless plans.

As a result, all of the large wireless companies now compete in the prepaid arena as well. Verizon wireless, T-Mobile prepaid, and AT&T are going head to head with Tracfone, Cricket, and Boost Mobile. Boost Mobile just released a new comprehensive, all you can use, plan that sort of has the industry buzzing about whether or not it will be popular and successful.

There are literally hundreds of cell phone offers that you have to choose from that it can be hard to know which plan you should sign up for. For this reason, many people just end up staying with a monthly contract cell phone plan and wait for their new phone every two years. It seems like the easy thing to do, but it just takes a little bit of effort to sift through all of the available prepaid phone plans, which is actually well worth it, because your effort may save you a lot of money

So what are some of the the factors that go into choosing the right prepaid cell phone plan? There are a lot of factors to consider as you shop around and examine the available plans. As you start looking, you should ask consider the following question: how much do you use your cell phone? And what do you use it for? Do you surf the web a lot? Do you keep up with your friends via text messaging often throughout the day?

If you are a light cell phone user and use only 300 or fewer minutes per month, prepaid is probably a beneficial course to take. If you use closer to 500 minutes per, then staying in a monthly contract plan is most likely the smarter choice. Prepaid phones can save you a lot of money, but only if your cell phone habits fit the plan that you end up choosing. Text messaging tends to be pretty expensive on most prepaid plans, so if you are a big text messager, then you might incure considerable charges, and will probably spend more on a prepaid plan. You will be better off with a text and data package that you can add on a contract phone.

If you are a light cell phone user and you don’t really text that much (remember you have to pay for both texts received and sent) then you may want to go with a prepaid phone option. A prepaid plan is good because you have more control over the actual minutes you end up paying for. You can change the amount of minutes you use month to month–this is the beauty of pay as you go plans.

Each prepaid wireless provider and plan has different stipulations and rules that you need to be familiar with. Your talk time minutes can expire over certain dates and there may be minimum minutes you have to purchase in any given period of time. If you find a good plan that fits in with your phone usage, then you and your family will be able to save money on your cell phone bills. Overall, prepaid offers some very competitive plans and they are becoming more popular as consumers become savvier in their cell phone dealings.

As a result of the new competition from small specialty prepaid wireless providers like Cricket and Tracfone, all of the large wireless companies now compete in the prepaid arena as well. Verizon wireless, T-Mobile prepaid, and AT&T are going head to head with Boost Mobile and SprintPCS. Boost Mobile at the beginning of the year released an unlimited monthly plan that includes unilmited text, data usage, and talk time for a $50.00 monthly charge.

This plan is very competitive with other plans that offer similar elements. This could be a harbinger of new times to come if it catches on, because the other big companies will have to undercut that price or deliver some other attractive options.

Here are some takeaway prepaid cell phone buying tips.

1) Research the plans available and learn how much text messages cost, handsets cost, and minutes cost.

2) Look at your cell phone bills for the last six months. If you are a light user (under 300 minutes talk time per month), then prepaid makes a lot of sense. Pay attention to how many text messages you send per month and what times and days you use your phone. Keep in mind that contract cell phone plans often include free nights and weekends and that may be why your minute usage seems low. With a prepaid phone, you probably will not have free nights and weekends.

3) Think about whether or not your cell phone habits match those that match well with a prepaid plan.

4) Keep an eye out for good deals offerred by cell phone companies as they sometimes offer promotions to entice new subscribers into signing up.

5) Weigh the costs in your mind and think about pros and cons of contract plans versus prepaid.

Check out plans by Verizon Wireless, Tracfone, T-Mobile, and Cricket and get a feel of where you can find the best deals.

Will I have a monthly payment with Tracfone Prepaid?

No but you will have to add Tracfone minutes at least every three months. With Tracfone Prepay you can spend as little as $20 for three months. As you run low on Tracfone Service time or prepaid minutes you will have to buy a card. The larger denomination Tracfone Minute cards give you more minutes per dollar spent.

You can get Tracfone service on a Monthly plan. You can sign up for the Tracfone Value plan and have a monthly payment for service and minutes. If you use all of your minutes before the month is up you can buy more minutes at a favorable rate. You can use either a debit card, checking account or charge card to purchase minutes with the Value Plan.

How do I find my Tracfone Serial Number?

The Serial number is accessible from the “Prepaid Menu” on your Tracfone. The serial number is on the package the wireless Tracfone came in. The Serial number is also on a Red paper that comes with your owners manual. The Tracfone web site has detailed instructions on finding your Serial number. Your Serial Number will be an 11, 15, or 18 digit number.

What is Tracfone Service Time?

When you add a Tracfone Card to a Tracfone you also get Service time also known as Activation time. With most cards you will get 90 days of service time. Keep your Tracfone Prepay service current your minutes will roll over.

What is DMFL?

Tracfone DMFL means Double Tracfone minutes for life of the phone. This means for the as long as the phone workswith DMFL if you add Tracfone Minutes the minutes added to your phone will be double the number on the card. The doubler card feature usually cannot be transferable to your next Tracfone if the phone it is on quits working or is lost or stolen. Most of the nicer Tracfone Cell phones now come with Double minutes. The Double minute for life is such a better deal than a Tracfone without DMFL, do not add minutes to a non-DMFL phone.

Do Tracfone Minutes Roll over?

Yes, as long as you keep your service active your Tracfone Minutes will roll over. Currently if your Tracfone service time expires and you reactivate within two months you will get to keep your minutes. This rollover policy is different than almost every other prepaid phone service which do not roll over minutes or service time. If you run completely out of minutes or do not refill before your service expires you will lose your tracfone number.

Most people do not realise that cell phones can be recycled just like many other products. Most of us replace our cell phone from time to time and simply keep the old ones never to use them again, perhaps even eventually throwing them out. However, sending your old cell phone to the landfill is not your only option as cell phone recycling is both environmentally friendly and even cost effective.

There are many reasons why you should recycle your cell phone. Did you know that all cell phones, like other electronic items, contain harmful metals and materials in their batteries and boards? These include mercury, and flame retardants which have been shown to cause developmental problems in children, and even some adults. These chemicals leak when they are thrown into landfills, and they slowly make their way into the earth and into our water.

As well as environmental matters you may also find that there is money in recycling your old cell phones. Companies such as Pacebutler Corporation will pay you around $50 for an old cell phone. These companies will recycle rather than waste your phone, and you can be sure it is going to a good cause. There are also larger recycling companies such as Umicore in Belgium that extract precious metals from our old phones.

These recycling processes mean that around 99% of the total materials of cell phones are able to be used. Bear in mind that it would be dangerous and near impossible to collect enough precious metal from your own phone to benefit and leave it to the experts who will extract thousands of phones to collect this precious metal.

There are other ways to recycle your phones without using these companies, the easiest of which is to let your family and friends use them. This can be useful for them and a great thing for you to do. Perhaps you could also ask them to recycle it when they are finished, either by giving it away or making sure its parts are recycled.

Charities will also be more than happy to take your phone off your hands, and this can allow you to donate to a cause you believe in. The charities themselves will usually sell them on to recycling companies as a way of raising money. It will be easy to donate, you can simply send off your old cell phone or hand it in to your local store, or even areas such as zoos which have cell phone collection boxes.

If you are looking for an easy way to get your cell phone recycled then try contacting the manufacturer. They will usually be happy to take back your cell phone, and may even provide discounts on a new model as well as paying for the shipping. This is a great way to make sure that your phone is recycled and disposed of completely safely, and companies are always looking to recycle the materials in their new items. You can always contact a refurbishing company to see if you can make any money from selling your phone. Companies like Pacebutler will usually make it easy for you by sending you a shipping label.

As you can see, there is more than one way to recycle your old cell phone. Whichever method you choose will be up to you, but you will always be helping the environment in the process and improving our general health. If you start today you will be making a huge difference, and can perhaps even contribute to increasing the cell phone recycling rate across the country.

If you are switching to a prepaid cell phone like those offered by Tracfone or T-Mobile because you are trying to cut back on your bills, you may want to remember to recycle your old phone instead of just tossing it out. You may even be able to sell it for a few bucks on ebay.

There are several ways of Buying Tracfone Minutes. You can purchase a card at the local store, buy directly from your phone or buy online from Tracfone.com.

I always Buy Tracfone Minutes online.
Why? I always use Tracfone bonus codes when I am adding minutes. If you try a bonus code that does not work if you are using your phone you will not get another chance to try another bonus code.

If you are online adding your minutes you will get three attempts to use different bonus codes. Check here for the latest updated Tracfone Bonus Codes.

TracFone Motorola W376 and Lg 225

What are Tracfone Bonus Codes
Tracfone Bonus Codes are 5 digit numbers you add when you are adding a Tracfone card to your phone. The best place for Buying Tracfone Minutes.

You can get 50 to 350 Tracfone minutes when adding a Bonus Minute Coupon. I always check the Tracfone Bonus Coupon when I am purchasing minutes or adding a Tracfone card to my phone.

How do I get free shipping from Tracfone?
Most of the time Tracfone offers free shipping on any order over $35. Specials on free shipping for orders over $20 come and go also. Your best deal at the website is buying the free Tracfone phone card with phone purchase which are usually $60 to $100 so you most likely be getting free shipping on your Tracfone purchase. Check here for the latest update on the Best Tracfone Wireless Deals.

I usually buy Tracfone Minutes and get a free phone. I get more service time this way. I buy the LG 225 with the One year card for $100. I end up getting 14 months. I usually get an extra 300 minutes on this card with a bonus code. I usually get 1120 minutes for $100. If I don’t use the free phone I can sell it on eBay for $20 to $35.

My favorite is Buying Tracfone Minutes Online One Year card for $100 and getting the LG 225 Free.

Company Overview

Founded and based in Miami, Florida, the Net10 promises to offer simpler prepaid plans to its subscribers. This company is often compared to another wireless provider, TracFone which also powers its nationwide coverage.

Prepaid Plans

Net10 Prepaid has two plans for its subscribers; the Easy Minute Plan and the Unlimited Plan. The Easy Minute Plan has a flat rate of 10 cents per minute in all of its calls. Minutes can be added to accounts by simply loading prepaid phone cards. Its Unlimited Plan is for $79.99 a month that covers unlimited domestic and long distance calls as well as text messages.

Net 10 W370 DMFL Prepaid Cell Phone

Pros and Cons

Customers may love the flat rate of 10 cents by Net10 Prepaid but their network coverage is not that wide compared to other wireless service providers. The basic 10 cents per minute plan doesn’t offer any nights and weekend unlimited service. For those who make frequent calls and send many messages within the calling area of Net10 may find their Unlimited $79.99 very beneficial. For those who may send messages or call outside the coverage area will find the monthly fee too expensive.

Features

Minutes

The basic plan for Net10 Prepaid charges 10 cents per minute for all calls. They Subscribers under the $79.99 plan can enjoy unlimited calls for local, long distance and roaming.

Data

At this time, Net10 has no available mobile web access to offer for its subscribers.

Text and Picture

Text messages cost 5 cents per message for both sent and received. Picture messages are not available for everybody; this requires phone compatibility. Picture messages for both sent and received cost 25 cents per message. Messages are not included in the plans even for Unlimited Plan of Net10 Prepaid, hence these rates are charged and deducted from the accounts.

International

Net10 offers very low international calling rates for 5 cents per minute but subscribers have to register to this service by calling their customer support. Reminded that standard airtime rates are also charged per minute aside from the 5 cents per minute. They also have another plan, International Neighbors for those who calls Canada and Mexico where a Net10 local number is designated to avoid high calling rates for international calls.

Calling Features

Net10 Prepaid provides free voicemail, call waiting and caller ID.

911

Yes

Roaming

Net10 Prepaid doesn’t charge any roaming fee; roaming is included in its EasyMinute and Unlimited Plans.

Payment Options

Subscribers can buy and load airtime by purchasing prepaid phone cards online or from retail stores. Cards are for $ 30, $45, $ 60 and $100. EasyMinute and Unlimited Plans can be paid online.

Activation Fee

Net10 has no activation fee that is available for their subscriber for the time being.

Minute Expiration Rules

Net10 Prepaid has a very good minute expiration rule; subscribers can utilize their minutes knowing that rates are just for 10 cents. The earliest time that minutes would expire is for 60 days and can last up to 2 years for 4,000 minutes. For the Unlimited Plan, minutes don’t have to expire since the monthly fee is for unlimited calls.

Customer Service

Net10 customer service provides a toll free number for any assistance Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Eastern Time. On Sundays consumers can call from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Eastern Time. Subscribers can submit a trouble ticket to their technical support team.

Phones

Prepaid phone models for Net10 Prepaid are mostly from Motorola, LG and Nokia.
